Symantec has launched QR code scanner to address QR code-based malwares. This scanner will check all links before loading these web links in your browser. When you scan a QR code using Norton Snap (Android & iOS), it will first check that link and then it will provide you a clear safety score. Simply hit on the full web link address if you would still like to continue loading that link. Moreover, you can tap on safety rating box for more details.

Norton Snap is free to use and currently available in beta. There is no word as yet if Symantec plans on charging for it in future or include a premium suite.
