Sharing movies from your phone is always fun when you’re with friends but because it eats a lot of bandwidth, you would require a larger monthly bandwidth. Instead why not share an animated GIF which can be made with the help of GIF Droid. You can take an existing or new video and make that an animated GIF which can be shared in quick seconds with anyone.
GIF Droid
You first need to install GIF Droid app from Android Market, then run the application on your phone and follow these simple steps:
1. You can choose from two options given below. You can either click on -
a) Select Video: It’ll open your photo gallery and you can choose a video from there.
OR
b) Record Video: It’ll launch your phone camera and you can record a video.
2. You can choose the video section that needs to be converted into animated GIF by sliding the grey bar at the beginning and to the end. Then click on the “Next” tab at the end of your screen.
3. You can select frames that you want to use from the video and can reduce the animation size by cutting out sections that are unwanted. Next tap “Create GIF” tab at the bottom right corner of your screen to complete the task.
4. a) You can preview your GIF. Choose to share by clicking on the Share tab.
b) You can rename your GIF by tapping the Rename tab.
c) You create another GIF by clicking on the Create another tab.
d) You can delete the animation you just created by hitting the Delete GIF tab.
